Tried this one too! First impressions: there is a new model K2 (not based on any kind of real piano) but I don't like the sound (too sharp and lifeless just like the previous one, the K1 ). The overall sound of the other pianos is unchanged (I like the Bluethner and the Steinway a lot ) but there is now the possibility of choosing different mics to capture the sound (in the previous one you could only choose the position but not the type of microphone). The modeled mics are not that bad but I would add some vintage ones. There is also a new piano collection based on historical instruments: they do not belong to the KiVir project so you must pay to play them (the Bechstein and the Erard seem very interensting). The new version is justified considered the improvements however I prefer to postpone judgement especially regarding the sound because I want to hear it on studio monitors to be 100% sure.
