It's alright to be concern. I'm concern about it too but at least your not over reacting like some people on here. They act like the world has come to an end. It's kinda sad. The more 2k tries to ignore are simple questions the more concern I get about the final ps3 product.This is what concerns me as well. They could easily put to rest any & all concerns we may have about the final PS3 build, but they're not doing that for some reason.
Either the entire customer service department at 2K needs to re-take Customer Relations 101 at their local Juco, or, as other people have observed, the flaws present in the demo ARE actually in the final build and they simply don't want to divulge this yet for fear of facing a slew of pre-order cancellations & doing catastrophic damage to any subsequent PS3 sales. Remember, it's YOUR money. They're not entitled to it. If they want our business, we (PS3 owners) should at least hold them to the same standard that they're adhering to for their Xbox 360 customers. This is what concerns me as well.
They could easily put to rest any & all concerns we may have about the final PS3 build, but they're not doing that for some reason. How I said this magazine don't have idea to make reviews, only seeing the 10/10 of bioshock and red dead it seems i was right, these games aren't perfect (red dead storyline it worse than gta4 for example) and heavy rain must have 10/10.

You've made a complete joke of yourself already in this thread, and it would be wise to stop now. Red Dead got 10/10 because its been probably the best game this year. Its story line was well done, combined with its immersive gameplay, left nearly everybody thats played it wanting more.
Red Dead was as close to perfect as you could 'more so then GTA IV which should have been around the 9.2'. You want answers go and look for them. Elizabeth and Jack have made it clear that the Demo is an old build. Im not trawling through threads because you or anybody else, is too pent up with your desperation and anguish to use your brain. It is not 2k's job to run the forum answering every question they get asked. If there's no excuse for it not being there, than why are you fine with it?

That does not mean I will not still enjoy it I mean I will still get a great story line and a great cast of characters to love but having the 'little things' can really make or break a game. Look at final Fantasy 13, the game had barely any npc interactions and about 1 or 2 towns, that completely killed the immersive felling I usually get while play FF games. Then they release this corrupt mess for demo that is just horrible, of course people want to know what the hell is going on. Is it the final build, why does the ps3 version look so bad compared to the other versions, what is up with the low FPS, etc, etc. And 2K Games are making it worse by not answering all these questions. It worries me that they have'nt made a statement regarding these problems, wich is making me believe that this is what the game is gonna be like.

OPM is the official playstation magazine (meaning it's affiliated with sony, means they're the most reliable source).
And OXM is the official xbox magazine (again official means they're affiliated with microsoft/xbox meaning they are the most reliable source). Magazines have always been more reliable than websites that's why they always get the reviews first.
Most websites have been told by 2K Czech not to release any review until after the game has been released. Look, all the reviews so far are from magazines. This is a list of the magazines that have reviewed it and the score they gave it. PC ZONE: 80% OXM Australia: 8/10 OXM UK:7/10 OXM Italy: 9.5/10 OPM UK: 7/10 GameMaster: 84/100 LEVEL Magazine: 9/10. Gaming has been my favorite hobby for many years, so I know exactly what this situation means. And most of you people should know, too. If final build was different from the demo, 2K would have posted it and all over the net, including twitter and facebook many times already.

It may look like there is no frame drops because human eye often having troubles noticing difference between 20, 24 or 30 FPS. That's why people on this thread can't agree about framedrops. Since I have a TV and PC near in one room I've decided to check this out since you can always toy with settings on PC and get 30, 40, 20 FPS (BTW FPS is strangely inconsistent in PC version, but that's not the point). Point is, that during gunfights in the demo's mission game's running at 20 FPS. Well, since I was comparing it side-by-side to PC version running at +-20 FPS I'm pretty sure it's more or less accurate - 18, 23 FPS, somewhat like that. Game is about 8 GB.
Seeing as 2K sucks at programming for Cell they will have most of game installed on HDD, and that will be more than 5 GB. Expect full game to run worse than demo, seriously. I won't buy this game now. Maybe later, cheap, but then again - I'm not sure I want such ugly looking game with a large install. Better wait for Saints Row 3 I suppose.
Although gameplay is quite different, Saints Row 2 actually looks and runs on PS3 much better than Mafia 2. This makes 2K look really pathetic. I hope you people remember that Bayonetta PSN demo ran MUCH better than Mafia 2 PSN demo. And that Bayonetta, although had performance issues and texture resolution issues on PS3 had all the content - grass, effects etc. 100% identical on PS3 and 360. Also, you should always remember that when developers are removing some effects or models from the game that means they horribly suck at optimizing it for the platform.
I can right now guarantee that Mafia 2 on PS3 is relying on RSX for graphics completely and not using the Cell at all. I've seen a lot of games that did that.RSX for graphics and using only Cell's main core since developer suck at programming for such multicore processor. Most of these games were released in 2007 of course, but here we have another one. 3 years later. Gaming has been my favorite hobby for many years, so I know exactly what this situation means. Mafia 2 is a game of 5 years of development, so I don't think they made a bulls.h.i.t version for ps3 after all this time and afterall for a console much powerfull than xbox 360, and then don't say a word. Mafia 2 for ps3 has actually been made with the ps3 in mind, and yes, so far that doesn't seem to have worked out very well (i refer to the demo here). On the other hand, i do think that it is worth remembering the phoneconference that was held with Scalici from 2k yesterdag. He clearly states that the game looks identical on ps3 and xbox, and furthermore, none of the large magazines have commented on the graphics as an issue. If you do look at some of the comparison screens made by the german website (you can find a link somewhere in this thread) all three versions looks identical. Sadly, there is no pictures with grass, bloodpools and motionblur, except for those on gamespot. And there has been an awful lot of people saying those pictures are fixed.
Not entirely sure here, but i do actually think it would be worth waiting for the reviews that comes out on the 25th. Nothing is for sure though. Oh, yeah, just remembered the ambiguous answer list gave last night. She said that the bloodpools and the grass would be like the demo version, but that's nonsense: because there aren't any. I do hope she was referring to the xbox360 demo. If she did that means the two versions would look identical. And that ain't bad.

Have to disagree with you there, Bayonetta is a great game, with one of the most satisfying fighting systems ever. Ps3 version was well inferior but still good, once they patched the load times. Have to agree with Lord Gremlin though, If the final Ps3 game included grass, physics etc, 2k would have responded by now, to counter all this negative publicity. Ps3 owners shafted again. I have been waiting for this game for 8 years, and i would much prefer to upgrade my pc if the ps3 version is broken. I sure hope it isn't though, because upgrading is expensive and furthermore i much prefer gaming on the ps3. I just don't get why the would make a creppy version, when they does obviously have good ps3 programmers at 2k. It just seems kind of unlikely to me. And furthermore, why on earth would the release doctored screens for the press? I have never experienced 2k doing that before.
So, it seems unlikely, but then again, ps3 have seen it's fair share of horrible multiplat versions of otherwise great games. Still, those were ported versions, and this isn't. How can they possibly make a worse version when it isn't even a port - they actually developed the build seperately.
Just seems darn' unlikely to me. Well, guess we will know come release-date. Move it August, chop chop.
