Unique: The editorially approved PONS Online Dictionary with text translation tool now includes a database with hundreds of millions of real translations from the Internet. See how foreign-language expressions are used in real life. Real language usage will help your translations to gain in accuracy and idiomaticity! How do I find the new sentence examples? Enter a word (“newspaper”), a word combination (“exciting trip”) or a phrase (“with all good wishes”) into the search box.

The search engine displays hits in the dictionary entries plus translation examples, which contain the exact or a similar word or phrase. This new feature displays references to sentence pairs from translated texts, which we have found for you on the Internet, directly within many of our PONS dictionary entries. A click on the tab “Usage Examples” displays a full inventory of translations to all of the senses of the headword. Usage examples present in the PONS Dictionary will be displayed first. Examples from the Internet (not verified by PONS Editors) What are the advantages? The PONS Dictionary delivers the reliability of a dictionary which has been editorially reviewed and expanded over the course of decades.

In addition, the Dictionary is now supplemented with millions of real-life translation examples from external sources. So, now you can see how a concept is translated in specific contexts. You can find the answers to questions like “Can you really say in German?” And so, you will produce more stylistically sophisticated translations. Where do the “Examples from the Internet” come from? The “Examples from the Internet” do, in fact, come from the Internet. We are able to identify trustworthy translations with the aid of automated processes. The main sources we used are professionally translated company, and academic, websites.

In addition, we have included websites of international organizations such as the European Union. Because of the overwhelming data volume, it has not been possible to carry out a manual editorial check on all of these documents.

So, we logically cannot guarantee the quality of each and every translation. This is why they are marked “not verified by PONS editors”. What are our future plans? We are working on continually optimizing the quality of our usage examples by improving their relevance as well as the translations. In addition, we have begun to apply this technology to further languages in order to build up usage-example databases for other language pairs. We also aim to integrate these usage examples into our mobile applications (mobile website, apps) as quickly as possible.

ITALY- Amore a prima vista! Planning a holiday in Italy but don’t know where to start? No life is complete without a trip to Italy.

Svista

I fall in love with it every time I visit. I love the vineyards in Florence, the ancient streets in Rome, the laid back nature of Southern Italy, the gorgeous Cinque Terre, and romantic Venice. Italy leaves no one underwhelmed. There’s so much to do in Italy that it would take a lifetime to finish. Don’t rush it in just one visit.

Italy is best seen slowly – just like the attitude of the country. Relax, take in the scenery, and enjoy the beautiful views! Let’s check out top 10 destination which I travelled-. Colosseum Colosseum, Italy Colosseum or Coliseum, the most recognisable of Rome’s Classical buildings. For travellers making their way through Italy, the Colosseum is a must see. This huge Amphitheatre is the largest of its kind ever built by the Roman Empire. Milan Cathedral (Duomo) Milan Cathedral, Milan, Italy The most famous Gothic church in Europe is in Italy.

Duomo is the one attraction one must not miss when visiting Milan. It is an imposing Gothic church located in the center square of Milan.

Its structure and finishing took nearly six centuries to be what it is today. It is one of the main cards of Milan, references in architecture, art and literature. Lake Como Lake Como, Italy Lake Como is one of Italy’s most scenic areas, surrounded by mountains and lined by small picturesque towns. Famous for its beautifully kept public gardens jaw-dropping natural beauty, elegant historic villas and the scenic towns surrounding the lake. Lake Como is surrounded by high mountains and dramatic cliffs, making it quite different from the other Italian lakes. Lake Como is part of the Italian Lake District an area popular with visitors for well over 100 years for its combination of fresh air, water, mountains and good weather. A must visit destination on Italian tour!.

Leaning Tower of Pisa Leaning Tower Of Pisa,Pisa,Italy The Leaning Tower of Pisa is actually just one of many attractions in the city of Pisa, is famous for the settling of its foundations, which caused it to lean 5.5 degrees. From the outside it’s definitely a thing to tick off your things to see, strange how it’s still standing as it leans quite far, felt so surreal seeing it. I would have gone in to climb its 296 steps if we’d have more time. You’ve got to go to get the picture of you holding it up lol!. Florence Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore Florence, Italy – view of the city Regarded as one of the finest cathedrals in the world, the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, or the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, dominates the Florence skyline. It is one of the most visited places in Europe and the world. The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore is Florence’s beautiful cathedral and symbol of the city.

The Cathedral is so large! A beautiful spot from which you can admire the impressive complex of the Duomo. Venice Canals (Grand Canal) Grand Canal at night, Venice, Italy Grand Canal, Venice, Italy Referred to as “The City of Water”, Venice is the crown jewel of water cities.

Romantic gondolas, and Italian architecture along the Grand Canal helped earn this status. Stitched together with over 150 canals that have become central to its character.

One of the beautiful places to visit in Venice. The view of this beautiful place at night was just awesome, I couldn’t took my eyes off this sight!

I recommend everyone to see this lovely and unique floating city. Roman Forum Roman Forum, Rome, Italy The Roman Forum may require a little imagination to understand exactly what this area once looked like. I have to say that if you can only see one thing while in Rome, go to the Roman Forum. I could spend all day there! You could spend hours exploring this beautiful place!. Amalfi Coast Amalfi Coast, Amalfi, Italy The Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning stretch of coastline along the Sorrentine Peninsula.

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most visited seaside destinations in the world, particularly during spring and summer. The main town of the coast is, of course, Amalfi, and this makes a good base for exploring the area. Its picturesque setting makes it one of the most popular holiday resorts in Italy. Vatican City Vatican City Vatican City, a city-state surrounded by Rome, Italy, is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. Vatican is definitely a place I want to visit again, because you need at least a full day to grasp everything that it has to offer.

I think everything in there is a must see, from the Basilica, to St. Peter’s Square, Sistine Chapel, Vatican Gardens. I would strongly recommend to have a guide, because it’s much more enjoyable that way and it’s not a place that you want to visit without understanding all the history behind it.

This city is like a tourist magnet. I found the whole Vatican experience brilliant!. St Mark’s Basilica St Mark’s Basilica, Venice One of the most important tourist sites in Venice is St Mark’s Basilica. Most visitors wandering around Venice will find themselves in the famous square, Piazza San Marco, in front of the basilica.

Though you can’t take any photos inside, you’ll never forget the inside of this cathedral. This church is magnificent inside with its gold painted walls and seriously heavy bronze horses topping the center. It’s a wealth of Venice! It was amazing experience to visit a country like Italy. It was great tour of 1 week!

Well spentcame home with lots of unforgettable memories! Post navigation.
